The Hawkesbury is home base for Tully Electrical. It is a mix of historic river towns, growing estates and a lot of acreage, and each brings its own electrical jobs. From replacing a private power pole on a Kurrajong property to upgrading the switchboard in an older Windsor cottage, we know how work here tends to go.

Electrical Work That Comes Up in the Hawkesbury
Much of the Hawkesbury is rural or semi-rural, so a lot of our work here is about getting power where it needs to go across a property, safely and without the job dragging on between trades.
Local Considerations
Private poles and long supply runs
Many acreage properties are supplied by their own power poles and overhead or underground lines running from the boundary to the house. Those private poles and lines belong to the property owner, and older timber poles eventually need replacing. As a Level 2 Accredited Service Provider we can replace private poles, upgrade the supply and move overhead lines underground, using our own excavator to trench the run. Level 2 and excavation services.
Sheds, workshops, pumps and stables
Power out to a shed or a bore pump can mean a long cable run from the house. We size the sub-main for the distance so you do not lose voltage at the far end, fit a separate sub-board in the shed where it makes sense, and use weatherproof fittings for outdoor and farm use.
Older homes in the Macquarie towns
Windsor, Richmond, Pitt Town and Wilberforce are among the oldest towns in Australia, and plenty of homes here still have old fuse boards and ageing wiring. A switchboard upgrade with modern safety switches is often the first job before renovating, adding air conditioning or installing an EV charger.
Growth areas
New homes keep going up around Vineyard, Riverstone and Box Hill. We handle the electrical fit-out from the connection to the last power point, including EV charger circuits for new garages. Residential electrician.

Hawkesbury FAQs
Who is responsible for the power pole on my property?
The electricity network owns the poles and lines up to your connection point. Private poles and lines beyond that point, often found on acreage, belong to the property owner, who is responsible for keeping them in good condition. If a private pole is rotten, leaning or has been flagged by Endeavour Energy, a Level 2 electrician can replace it.
Can you run power to a shed or pump a long way from the house?
Yes. We work out the cable size for the distance and load so the shed or pump gets proper voltage, then trench the run with our own excavator where it needs to go underground.
Can my overhead line be put underground?
In most cases, yes. Moving a private overhead line underground is Level 2 work. We assess the route, trench it, lay the conduit and cable, and organise the connection paperwork.
