What Makes Penrith Different

Penrith gets some of the hottest summer days in Sydney, and much of the housing is either brand new or several decades old. Both bring their own electrical needs, and both put more load on the switchboard than they used to.

Local Considerations

Summer heat and air conditioning

Penrith Lakes reached 48.9°C on 4 January 2020, one of the hottest temperatures ever recorded in the Sydney area. When every home on the street runs air conditioning at once, an undersized or older switchboard is where problems show up. We install dedicated circuits for split and ducted systems and check that your board and supply can carry the load. Switchboard upgrades.

Solar, batteries and EV chargers

Rooftop solar is everywhere in Penrith, and more households are adding batteries and EV chargers. Each one needs space and capacity in the switchboard. We do the switchboard, supply and wiring work these systems need, and install home and workplace EV chargers. EV chargers, solar and battery electrical.

New estates, extensions and granny flats

From Jordan Springs and Caddens to Glenmore Park, we wire new homes, extensions and secondary dwellings. A granny flat often means a bigger supply or a separate sub-main, and where the supply needs upgrading we can do the Level 2 side as well. Residential electrician.

Businesses and the airport corridor

Western Sydney International Airport opens to passenger flights in late October 2026, and more businesses are setting up across Penrith, St Marys and the surrounding industrial areas. We handle shop, office and warehouse fit-outs, lighting upgrades and three-phase power. Commercial and strata electrician.

Penrith FAQs

Is my switchboard big enough for ducted air conditioning?

It depends on the age of the board and the size of your supply. Ducted systems need their own circuit, and older boards often have no room or protection for one. We check the board and supply first and tell you if an upgrade is needed.

Can you connect power to a granny flat?

Yes. We work out whether your existing supply can carry the extra load, run a sub-main and sub-board to the granny flat, and handle any supply upgrade as Level 2 work if it is needed.

Do you install EV chargers in new homes?

Yes. In a new build it is easiest to run the charger circuit during the fit-out, but we also add chargers to existing homes, including the switchboard work they need.
